MILLERSVILLE - Aliza Mizak scored the game's only goal with 10 minutes left in the first half, lifting No. 3-ranked Millersville to a 1-0 win over No. 4 East Stroudsburg University in non-conference field hockey on Tuesday afternoon.

Millersville (4-0) held an 11-4 advantage in shots and a 6-0 edge in shots on goal. ESU (3-2) had a 7-4 advantage in penalty corners.

Junior goalkeeper Danielle Ard had four saves for ESU. Kylee Bair registered the shutout for the Marauders.

Millersville, the defending NCAA Division II champion, was ranked No. 1 in the NFHCA Division II preseason poll before falling to No. 3 this week.

ESU was ranked No. 6 in the preseason and moved up to No. 4 on Tuesday. The Warriors had a 3-0 start end on Saturday with a 1-0 loss vs. Kutztown.

ESU and Millersville will meet again in a PSAC match-up on October 13 at Whitenight Field.

The Warriors travel to Slippery Rock for a non-conference game on Saturday.
