Kayla Loar and freshman
Lauren Morrissey posted wins at fifth and sixth singles as East Stroudsburg University fell 7-2 at Caldwell in its 2015-16 women's tennis dual opener on Monday.
Loar posted a 8-4 win vs. Koumudi Thirunagaru and Morrissey had an 8-0 win vs. Chante Bethell. Caldwell won the first four singles spots in straight sets.
In doubles, junior
Amber Jadus and Loar pushed Rebecca Ryan and Sara Riccardi to a tiebreaker before falling 9-8 (7-4) at the No. 2 spot. Morrissey and freshman Morgan Butcher dropped a 9-7 score to Thirunagaru and Claudia Romano at No. 3.
Tamara Klimek won at No. 1 singles and teamed with Emily Slater for an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles for Caldwell.
The Warriors host Division III Bryn Mawr on Wednesday, September 23 at 3 p.m. at Wolbers Courts.
