Ally Roth scored two goals, setting East Stroudsburg University's career record, as the No. 6-ranked Warriors topped No. 7 Adelphi, 4-1, in non-conference field hockey on Sunday afternoon at Whitenight Field.

Roth scored ESU's first goal 15:06 into the game, and converted a penalty stroke 11 minutes into the second half for her 57th career goal, surpassing Ashley Kocis (2003-06). Roth scored 10 goals as a freshman in 2012, 21 goals as a sophomore and 22 as a junior.
Roth, a two-time first team All-America selection and the 2014 PSAC Offensive Athlete of the Year, set ESU's record for career points late last season. She has 136 career points through two games this year. Kocis had 125 in her career.
Roth has scored four of ESU's nine goals this season. She also scored twice in a 5-1 win vs. No. 5 Stonehill on Saturday.

Junior midfielder
Desiraye Mack gave ESU a 2-0 halftime lead with about 10 minutes left before intermission. Mack also scored twice vs. Stonehill and has three goals this season, matching her career total entering the year (all three scored in 2014).
Sophomore midfielder
Sydney McCarthy scored her first career goal 2:38 into the second half to give ESU a 3-0 lead.

Emily Howell assisted on Roth's first goal, and senior midfielder
Rebecca Snyder set up Mack's goal, both in the first half.
Molly Cuevas put Adelphi (0-2) on the board off a penalty corner with 5:16 remaining. The Panthers lost their season opener, 1-0, at Bloomsburg on Friday.
ESU had a 17-3 advantage in shots and junior goalkeeper
Danielle Ard made two saves for the Warriors (2-0).
