LOCK HAVEN - Junior forward Allison Howard scored 21 of her 23 points in the second half and East Stroudsburg University posted its eighth win in the last nine games with a 68-61 victory at Lock Haven in PSAC East women's basketball on Wednesday night at Thomas Fieldhouse.

Howard scored 17 of ESU's 20 points in a 10-minute stretch spanning the third and fourth quarters as the Warriors (9-8, 7-6) rallied from an 11-point second-quarter deficit.

Junior guard Rachel Falkowski, who had the game-winning putback at the buzzer and tied her career-high with 13 points in a 66-65 win vs. Kutztown on Saturday, scored 11 points and senior guard Tyeca Reviere had 10 points for the Warriors. Reviere was 8-for-8 at the foul line, including 6-for-6 in the final 18.3 seconds. Senior center Michelle Boggs added five points and 11 rebounds.

Freshman guard Noelle Powell, the two-time defending PSAC East Freshman of the Week, scored eight points in the first half, including a pair of three-pointers in the final 80 seconds as ESU closed within 26-22 at intermission after falling behind 21-10 midway through the second quarter.

ESU won the third quarter, 23-14, with Howard scoring 12 points, including the Warriors' final eight, as they turned a four-point deficit into a five-point lead (45-40) entering the fourth.

Lock Haven (7-11, 4-10) maintained contact in the fourth, pulling within two (57-55) on a bucket by Rachael McDaniel with 2:42 left, but sophomore guard Imani Brown (five points) answered with a three-pointer for the Warriors and they led by at least five points the rest of the way.

Howard had six rebounds, four steals and two blocks to go with her 23 points. She had her sixth career 20-point game and her second of the season, netting 24 in last Wednesday's 79-65 win vs. Mansfield. She entered the game with 15.6 points per game, just outside the PSAC's top 10 in scoring, and has scored at least 15 points in 12 of the Warriors' 17 games this season.

The Warriors, second in the PSAC in field goal percentage defense (37.4), held Lock Haven to 34.4 percent (21-for-61) and just 1-for-6 from the three-point line while forcing 22 turnovers.

J.J. Hilliard had 16 points, McDaniel scored 12 and Mackenzie Livingston and Sydney Morse scored eight each to lead LHU. Lysa Mealing, the PSAC's top rebounder, had four points and 18 boards as Lock Haven held a 49-34 advantage on the glass.

ESU is set for a trip to PSAC East leader Shippensburg (15-2, 11-2) on Saturday at 1 p.m. Ship has won 10 straight since an 82-79 loss to IUP on December 4.  The Lady Raiders won the first meeting this year, 76-56, on November 18 at Koehler Fieldhouse.
