Tyeca Reviere had 12 points and 11 assists, leading East Stroudsburg University to a 78-71 (OT) win at Slippery Rock in PSAC women's basketball on Wednesday night.
Junior forward
Allison Howard had 15 points and seven rebounds and junior forward
Madison Tamburini added 13 points for ESU (6-7, 4-5), which won its fifth straight game, including its fourth straight against PSAC schools. ESU's five-game winning streak is its longest since early in the 2008-09 season.
Reviere's 11 assists are ESU's most in 16 years, since Marie Schlegel had 12 in a game at Columbia Union in 2000. Reviere hit the game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer in a 74-73 win vs. No. 13-ranked California (Pa.) on Sunday at Koehler Fieldhouse.
Brown, the reigning PSAC East Co-Athlete of the Week after scoring 28 points vs. Cal, hit the game-tying three-pointer with 37 seconds left in regulation, then hit two more three's in the overtime session for ESU.
The game was tied 54-54 going to OT, with ESU outscoring the Rock 24-17 in the extra five minutes. The Warriors shot 5-for-7 from the field, 3-for-3 from the three-point line and 11-for-13 from the foul line without a turnover.
Erica Aiello had 18 points and Lexi Carpenter had 18 points, eight rebounds and six assists to lead Slippery Rock (7-7, 4-5). Mallory Heinle added 13 points.
Neither team led by more than seven points in regulation. The Rock led 15-14 at the end of the first quarter, 31-28 at halftime and 45-44 through three quarters to set up an eventful final 15 minutes.
Howard hit a three-pointer to give ESU a 47-45 lead in the first minute of the fourth quarter, but Carpenter scored the next five points to give SRU a 50-47 lead at the six-minute mark.
Sophomore forward
Rebecca Rutkowski (eight points, five rebounds) got ESU within 50-49, then neither team scored until Howard's jumper gave the Warriors a 51-50 lead with 1:58 remaining.
Carpenter hit two free throws at the 1:30 mark to put SRU in front, and Aiello scored for a 54-51 Rock lead with 55 seconds left. Brown's three-pointer tied the game for ESU, and Aiello missed a three for SRU with 11 seconds left to send the game to overtime.
Slippery Rock took a 56-54 lead on two free throws by Ciara Patterson six seconds into the extra session, but the remainder was almost all ESU. Reviere scored and three's by Brown and Tamburini gave ESU a 62-58 lead with 3:04 showing. After a three-pointer by Aiello made it 62-61, Brown converted a three-point play for a 65-61 edge.
Reviere sank two clutch free throws for a 68-63 lead with 1:33 left, and Brown's final three-pointer made it 71-64 advantage as the Warriors held off the Rock down the stretch.

Michelle Boggs had four points and six rebounds and senior guard
Melissa Poderis had two points, five rebounds and five assists for ESU.
The Warriors shot 36.6 percent (26-for-71) overall, 8-for-23 from the three-point line and 18-for-22 at the foul line. Slippery Rock shot 37.1 percent (23-for-63), 6-for-16 from three and 19-for-22 at the line. ESU had a 16-11 advantage in turnovers.
