EAST STROUDSBURG - Sophomore forward Alex Pickett scored a pair of second-half goals, leading No. 4-ranked East Stroudsburg University to a 2-0 win over IUP in PSAC women's soccer on Saturday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

Pickett scored in the 70th and 80th minutes for ESU (9-1, 9-0), the second assisted by senior back Hannah Gombos, and junior goalkeeper Jules Harris made seven saves for the Warriors' seventh straight PSAC shutout, extending their school record set Friday in a 2-0 win vs. California.

ESU held a 25-10 advantage in shots, including 16-4 in the second half, to continue its best-ever PSAC start. The Warriors previously opened 5-0 in 1994 and 2013.

Pickett scored her fifth and sixth goals of the season, with the last five coming in the Warriors' last three PSAC games. She scored twice in ESU's 3-0 win vs. Clarion last Saturday, and had the second goal in Friday's win vs. Cal.

Gombos picked up her sixth assist of the season.

Harris notched her eighth shutout (seventh solo) in 10 games this season, and her 25th shutout (21st solo) in 48 career starts for the Warriors, who improved to 43-9-3 since the start of the 2014 season.

The Warriors entered the week ranked third in NCAA Division II in goals against average (0.143) and fifth in shutout percentage (0.857) before a 2-1 loss at then-No. 5 Adelphi on Monday to end their unbeaten (7-0) start.

Goalkeeper Jessica Printz made 12 saves for IUP (6-5, 5-4), which fell 1-0 at Kutztown on Friday.

ESU head coach Rob Berkowitz tied the school record with his 112th career win, matching the total of Derek Arneaud (1995-2006). Berkowitz, in his 10th season, has led ESU to the last two PSAC championships and last year's NCAA DII Atlantic Region title.

ESU hosts Kutztown on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
