ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - Junior
Samantha Miller tied for third with a round of 81 to lead East Stroudsburg University at the Eastern Invitational, held Wednesday at St. Davids Golf Club.
Miller, who finished tied for ninth at the PSAC Championships last weekend, was two shots behind medalist Danielle Freed (Millersville) and one shot back of Morgan Wirtz (Stevenson). She tied for third with Emily Gilbert (Alvernia).
Miller completed ESU's fall schedule with four of eight rounds in the 70's and a stroke average of 79.4 (average par 70.9).
Stevenson won the team title (334) by a three-shot margin over Millersville (337). Host Eastern was third (353). The Warriors tied with Ursinus for fourth (359), followed by Alvernia (378), Lebanon Valley (388) and Arcadia (428).
