No. 13 ESU Women’s Soccer Falls at Bloomsburg, 2-0

BLOOMSBURG - Bloomsburg scored a goal on either side of halftime, posting a 2-0 win over No. 13-ranked East Stroudsburg University in PSAC women's soccer on Wednesday night.

ESU (11-3-1, 11-2-1) suffered just its second PSAC loss of the season following a 1-0 setback at then-No. 5 West Chester last Tuesday. The Warriors rebounded with a 2-1 win vs. Seton Hill on Saturday before Wednesday's defeat.

Alexis Rostucher scored with 4:03 left in the first half and Jessica Supp scored 8:57 into the second half for the Huskies (7-6-2, 6-6-2), who held a 15-11 advantage in shots.

Devon Haviland had four saves in goal for Bloomsburg, while junior goalkeeper Jules Harris had four saves for ESU.

The Warriors played without a pair of senior All-Americans in midfielder Shea Neal and back Laurel Neira, and sophomore forward Alex Pickett, ESU's leading scorer with seven goals and one assist.

ESU was listed No. 4 in this week's NCAA Division II Atlantic Region rankings in advance of Saturday's match-up with Edinboro (11-2-1, 10-2-1), which is ranked No. 6 in the region.

ESU won both the PSAC championship (2-1 OT) and NCAA DII Atlantic Region championship (2-0) over Edinboro last fall.
