FULL RESULTS

DALLAS, Pa. – Junior Allison Cardow, freshman Tarah Killane and freshman Olivia Lukshides each posted two individual victories, and East Stroudsburg University won nine of 14 contested events overall to defeat Kutztown and Misericordia in Saturday's tri-meet.

Cardow, Lukshides, junior Kate Zimmerman, junior Colleen Dwyer and junior Shirley Samson all registered PSAC qualifying times for ESU (4-0), which topped Kutztown 159-101 and host Misericordia 167-81.

Killane earned the first victory of the afternoon in the 1,000-yard freestyle, completing the race in 11:13.85. That mark is over five seconds quicker than her time from last week's tri-meet at Lock Haven, and she remains seventh in program history in the event. Killane later added a win in the 500 free, recording a time of 5:31.18 which beat second-place Gab Louden from Kutztown by over 14 seconds.

Lukshides posted a PSAC time in the 200 free, completing the race in 2:01.38, and she also won the 50 free in 26.05. The Piscataway, N.J., native previously qualified for the PSAC meet in the 100 free last Friday.

Dwyer took second place in the 100 backstroke, one of four second-place results for the Warriors on the day, and her time of 1:02.80 was just under the 1:03.08 PSAC standard.

The 200 breaststroke marked ESU's lone 1-2 finish at the meet, with both Zimmerman (2:34.78) and Samson (2:36.45) well under the PSAC time of 2:38.32. Zimmerman previously earned a spot at PSACs in the 100 breast at Lock Haven.

The other PSAC qualifying result came from Cardow in the butterfly events. She out-touched Misericordia's Kaitlyn Weatherby by over a second in the 200 fly (2:19.20) and topped Kutztown's Kara Jones by just under a second in the 100 fly (1:02.12).

The other two victories for the Warriors were in the 100 free and the meet-concluding 200 free relay. Annie Fagan (56.84) held off Weatherby by two-hundredths in the 100 free, while Lukshides, senior Victoria Gurdak, senior Kelly Buyaskas and Fagan had a time of 1:43.78 in the relay. Lukshides swam the initial 50 free of the relay in 25.81, qualifying her for the PSAC championships in that event.

ESU returns to the pool next Saturday, traveling to LIU Post for its first dual meet of the season. The first event is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
