KUTZTOWN - Junior 
Samantha Miller placed third in a field of 45 for East Stroudsburg University at the Kutztown Fall Invitational on Sunday and Monday at Moselem Springs Golf Club.
Miller shot a round of 78 on Monday, tied for the best score of the day, after ranking tied for sixth through the first 18 holes.
She finished four shots behind medalist Zoey Yamamoto of team champion Franklin Pierce, who shot a 36-hole total of 154. Yamamoto was followed by Camden Morrison (Franklin Pierce) at 155, Miller at 158 and Taylor Daskivich (West Chester) and Madison Beer (Kutztown), who both shot 161.
The par-70 course played at 5,939 yards.
ESU finished ninth in a field of nine schools. Franklin Pierce (656) edged host Kutztown (658) by two shots, followed by West Chester (664), LIU Post (687), Southern New Hampshire (729), Eastern (740), Adelphi (740), Alvernia (759) and ESU (774).
Miller's 78 on Monday was her third round in the 70's in five rounds this year. She shot 77-76 to finish fifth at Le Moyne, and shot 82 to finished tied for second at Ursinus last week.
Junior 
Mackenzie Mathna was 35th (196), sophomore 
Caterina Daniels was 40th (205), freshman 
Gabbi Budd was 42nd (216) and freshman 
Amy Bergquist was 43rd (217).
ESU's next action will be at the PSAC Championships on October 14-15 in Hershey.
