Emily Howell scored first-half goals, leading No. 4-ranked East Stroudsburg University to a 2-0 win over No. 6 Bloomsburg in PSAC field hockey on Tuesday afternoon at Whitenight Field.
ESU (9-3, 3-1) avenged a 3-0 non-conference loss at Bloomsburg (8-3, 2-1) on September 6, as Harrold scored 13:55 into the game on an assist by junior midfielder
Sydney McCarthy, and Howell scored an insurance goal about 12 minutes later.

Lindsay Cassel made eight saves for Bloomsburg.

The Warriors posted their seventh shutout this season. ESU entered the week ranked fifth in NCAA Division II in goals against average (0.91).
ESU travels to No. 3 Millersville (9-1, 4-0) for a 12 p.m. game on Saturday. ESU won last year's PSAC championship, its first in program history, with a 1-0 victory over Millersville last fall.
