MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Victories in the 300-yard butterfly relay and 300 breaststroke relay highlighted East Stroudsburg University's performance at the season opening Millersville Relay Carnival on Saturday.

The Warriors 300 fly trio of junior Allison Cardow, senior Kaitlyn Casciole and junior Annie Fagan finished up in 3:14.78, over two seconds ahead of second-place Kutztown, in the first event of the afternoon.

Two events later, junior Shirley Samson, senior Kelly Buyaskas and junior Kate Zimmerman completed the 300 breast relay in 3:38.98, well ahead of the time of 3:44.82 posted by Kutztown in second.

There were 11 events contested overall at the meet. ESU placed second in seven events, giving the Warriors a top-two showing in all but two events on the day.

ESU travels to Lock Haven on Friday, taking on both the host Bald Eagles and Wilkes in a tri-meet.
