Kate Zimmerman made the championship final and finished eighth in the 100 breast to pace East Stroudsburg University on the third day of the PSAC Swimming Championships on Saturday at the York YMCA.

ESU stands ninth of 12 schools entering the final day of competition on Sunday.
Zimmerman made her first career championship final with a time of 1:06.83 in the 100 breast prelims, which she improved to 1:06.41 - second-fastest in school history - in the final. Her previous PR was 1:07.05 as a freshman, and she was the No. 13 seed entering the event in 1:07.43.
Coy, seeded 18th, finished 12th in both the prelims (1:07.60) and consolation final (1:07.27). Â She had a season best of 1:08.25 entering the weekend.
Podhayny made her third consolation final of the weekend in the 100 back, swimming 59.77 in the prelims and improving to 59.65 in the final. She placed ninth in both the 200 IM and 400 IM.
Cardow made her first consolation final, swimming a significant PR in the 200 fly. She was 14th in both the prelims (2:12.86) and final (2:12.9), almost four seconds better than her previous PR (2:16.54) entering the weekend.
Cardow's 2:12.86 in the prelims was one-tenth of a second off the school record (2:12.76) set by Allison Schafer in 2014.
ESU was ninth in the 800 free relay with senior
Cyndi Kline, Coy, senior
Alexandra Woytko and Cardow swimming 8:02.53.
Four individual events - 100 free, 200 back, 200 breast and 1650 free - are on the docket for Sunday. Podhayny is seeded No. 6 in the 200 back, Zimmerman 13th and Coy 14th in the 200 breast and Kline 13th in the 1650 free.
The meet will conclude Sunday night with the 400 free relay. ESU has finished ninth in the PSAC the last three years, its best finishes since placing sixth in 2001 and 2002.
