The Warriors led 4-0 after the first 8:53 and 9-0 at halftime.
Fritz scored two of ESU's first three goals in her debut with the Warriors and completed her hat trick with 10:52 left in the first half.
Nunes, named third team All-PSAC as a junior (43 goals, 27 assists), had her 19th career hat trick in her 50th game at ESU. She moved into ninth at ESU in career points (161), ranks 15th in goals (106) and seventh in assists (55).
The Warriors held a 12-5 advantage in draw controls, including seven by senior defender Caitlynn O'Connell, who joined Nunes on the All-PSAC third team.
ESU entered the season with 11 returning starters and 183 of its 196 goals led by Nunes (43), Wiltraut (42), Green (31), Rahmer (24) and Zimmer (14).
WV Wesleyan was 13-5 last year and reached the Mountain East Conference championship game, falling 20-3 to Shepherd in the final. The Warriors host Shepherd on Wednesday (March 2) at 4 p.m.
