EAST STROUDSBURG - Sophomore forward
Rebecca Rutkowski scored 23 points, including a game-tying putback with 6.1 seconds left in regulation that sent the game to overtime, but West Chester prevailed for an 85-77 (OT) win over East Stroudsburg University in PSAC East women's basketball on Wednesday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.
Brittany Sicinski had 28 points and 11 rebounds, Anna Kuntz had 22 points and 13 boards and Dallas Ely had 15 points to lead West Chester (17-5, 14-4). Sicinski and Ely both hit the 1,500-point mark for their careers.
Junior forward
Allison Howard had 19 points and eight rebounds and junior guard
Rachel Falkowski and sophomore guard
Imani Brown scored 10 points each for ESU (11-11, 9-9).
Rutkowski's putback helped the Warriors recover from a six-point run by West Chester late in regulation to send the game to overtime tied at 71-71, but WCU held a 14-6 advantage in the extra session.
ESU led 23-16 after the first quarter and 32-29 at halftime, before WCU tied it at 48-48 through three quarters.
Rutkowski had 23 points, seven rebounds and four blocked shots, leading the PSAC in blocks per game (2.1) entering the night.
Howard had 19 points and eight rebounds, and Falkowski added six points and five assists along with her 10 points.
Ely (1,514) and Sicinski (1,512) both surpassed the 1,500-point mark for West Chester.
ESU travels to Kutztown on Saturday.

EAST STROUDSBURG – Junior forwards
Rasheed Moore (14 points, 11 rebounds) and
Steve Harris (10 points, 11 rebounds) both had double-doubles and East Stroudsburg University survived a second-half comeback by No. 16-ranked West Chester, posting an 88-83 win in PSAC East men's basketball on Wednesday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.
ESU (17-5, 13-5) beat a ranked West Chester (18-4, 14-4) team for the second time this season, following an 87-60 win at then-No. 22 WCU on January 9 at Hollinger Fieldhouse.
Freshman guard
Nick Giordano scored 13 points (11 in the first half) and senior guard
Jamal Nwaniemeka and redshirt junior guard
Quindell Brice both scored 12 points for the Warriors.
ESU led by as many as 22 points (65-43) with 16 minutes left in the second half and by 18 (74-56) with 9:20 remaining before weathering a 10-0 run that got the Golden Rams back in the game.
WCU cut an 11-point deficit (84-73) with 2:08 left to three (84-81) with 55 seconds remaining before the Warriors held on.
Malik Jackson scored 17 points, Tyrell Long had 15, Jahmahl Slater had 14 points and 10 rebounds and guard Matt Penecale notched 12 points and nine rebounds for WCU.
The Warriors earned their seventh straight win vs. West Chester and have taken 14 of the last 16 since the start of the 2009-10 season, including PSAC championship victories in 2012 (90-85 at WCU) and 2014 (92-80 at ESU).
ESU remains in the hunt for its fourth straight PSAC East regular season title, entering the night two games behind West Chester and Kutztown. The Warriors travel to Kutztown on Saturday.
-- GAME PREVIEW --EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University basketball fans are encouraged to "Black Out" Koehler Fieldhouse when the Warriors host West Chester in a key PSAC East doubleheader on Wednesday night at 5:30 p.m.
The women's game tips off at 5:30 p.m. with the men's game to follow at 7:30 p.m. Both games have PSAC Tournament implications as the Warriors enter the final three weeks of the regular season.
In the women's game, ESU (11-10, 9-8) is tied for 4th in the PSAC East, with West Chester (16-5, 13-4) a half-game behind division leader Shippensburg (18-4, 14-4) for the top spot.
West Chester won the first meeting, 84-67, on January 9. The Golden Rams, the defending PSAC runner-up, have won eight straight and 17 of the last 18 in the series.

Allison Howard leads ESU in scoring (15.4 ppg) and rebounding (8.0 rpg), with sophomore guard
Imani Brown second in scoring (11.6 ppg) as a spark off the bench. Senior guard
Tyeca Reviere (7.4 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 4.5 apg) is sixth in the PSAC in assists and tied for third in steals (2.1).
The Warriors lead the PSAC in blocks (4.8 bpg) with sophomore forward
Rebecca Rutkowski leading the conference with 2.1 per game. ESU is third in the PSAC in field goal percentage defense (37.2) and has won 10 of its last 13 games.
West Chester senior guard Brittany Sicinski is third in the PSAC in scoring (16.6 ppg) and fifth in assists (4.6 apg). Sicinski and senior guard Dallas Ely (13.3 ppg) are both two-time first team All-PSAC East selections and WCU is second in the PSAC averaging 74.2 points per game.
In the men's game, ESU (16-5, 12-5) is 3rd in the PSAC East, two games behind co-leaders No. 16-ranked West Chester (18-3, 14-3) and Kutztown (17-4, 14-3) with five games remaining. The Warriors are at Kutztown on Saturday.
The Warriors are 13-2 in the last 15 meetings vs. West Chester since the start of the 2009-10 season, including victories in the PSAC championship game in 2012 (90-85, away) and 2014 (92-80, home). ESU has won six straight in the series, including an 87-60 win at then-No. 22 West Chester on January 9.
ESU (1st, 89.9 ppg) and WCU (3rd, 81.4 ppg) are two of the top-scoring teams in the PSAC and excel from the three-point line. ESU is 2nd in the PSAC in 3-pointers per game (8.7) and 4th in 3-point percentage (36.7), while WCU is 3rd in 3's per game (8.3) and 2nd in percentage (38.2).
ESU leads the PSAC in scoring (89.9 ppg), field goal percentage (49.4), three-point defense (29.9), turnover margin (+4.1), assist-to-turnover ratio (1.33), assists per game (19.2) and steals per game (10.4) as part of an up-tempo, 94-foot system.

Najee Walls leads the PSAC in assists (5.8) and is second in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.4). Redshirt senior guard
Will Brown (13.2 ppg) is 2nd in 3's per game (2.6) and 3-point percentage (44.6), including 26 points and eight 3-pointers in a 104-62 win at Cheyney on Saturday.
Junior forward
Rasheed Moore (13.1 ppg, 6.6 rpg) is second on the Warriors in both scoring and rebounding. Senior guard
Jamal Nwaniemeka scores 12.8 points per game.
Moore (1,063), Nwaniemeka (1,038) and Brown (1,028) are all 1,000-point scorers, the first trio to take the floor together in program history.
West Chester is paced by freshman guard Malik Jackson (15.6 ppg) and senior forward Matt Wisely (11.7 ppg), who is second in the PSAC in rebounding with 10.9 per game.
