Haley Thomas hit for the cycle in the opener as East Stroudsburg University swept a non-conference softball doubleheader at USciences by identical scores, 11-3 (6 inn.), on Friday afternoon.
Thomas was 4-for-4 with two RBI and three runs in game one with a single in the second inning, a triple in the third, double in the fifth and home run in the sixth inning. Her cycle is ESU's first since at least 2002.
She was 2-for-3 with two runs in the second game, combining to go 6-for-7 with a walk in the twinbill, to raise her batting average to .581 (18-31) with three doubles, one triple, three home runs, 10 RBI and 12 runs through 10 games for ESU (8-2).

Mary Wallick was 4-for-7 with a double, home run, three RBI, four runs and two walks in the leadoff spot for the Warriors.
Junior
Rachael Liguori (6.0 IP, 2 earned runs, 8 hits, 8 strikeouts, 2 walks) and senior
Amanda Carlin (6.0 IP, 3 earned runs, 7 hits, 2 strikeouts, 2 walks) both threw complete games in the circle.
ESU had 26 hits in the doubleheader (13 in each game) and drew 12 walks and a hit batter for 39 total baserunners.
The Warriors travel to Lock Haven (13-7) for a non-conference doubleheader on Saturday.
GAME 1Thomas' cycle highlighted three Warriors who had multiple hits, along with Wallick (2-for-3, 2B, HR, 2 RBI, 2 runs) and sophomore OF
Cristina Coppola (2-for-4, RBI).
Wallick led off the game with a home run, her first of the season and the third of her career, but the game was tied 1-1 through three innings before the Warriors put it away with 10 runs over the final three frames.
The Warriors scored five runs on four hits and two errors in the fourth, sparked by a one-out triple by Thomas. After two errors, Sophomore
Janine Giordano, Coppola and junior
Rae Holden all added RBI singles later in the inning to make it 9-3.
ESU scored three runs on four hits in the fifth with Thomas providing a leadoff double. All three runs were scored with two outs on singles by sophomore OF
Madison Oren and freshman 3B
Samantha Pickar, and a double by Wallick.
Thomas capped the scoring with her two-run homer in the sixth.
GAME 2Five Warriors had two hits each in Wallick (2-for-4, RBI, 2 runs), Holden (2-for-5, HR, 2 RBI, run), senior 1B Dungee (2-for-2, RBI, run), Thomas (2-for-3, 2 runs) and sophomore OF
Katherine Liedberg (2-for-2, 2B, 3B, 3 RBI, run).
ESU scored in five of the six innings, jumping out to a 7-1 lead through four innings before ending it once again in the sixth.
Wallick drew a leadoff walk and scored on an RBI single by Dungee in the first, and sophomore 2B
Heather Visco walked, stole second, moved to third on a sacrifice bunt and scored on an RBI single by Giordano in the second.
Liedberg had a two-out, two-run double in the third, and Holden blasted a two-run homer and Visco had an RBI single in the fourth. Holden's home run was her fourth of the season and the seventh of her career.
The Warriors tagged on four runs, all with two outs, in the sixth. Thomas singled and scored on an RBI triple by Liedberg, Oren walked, Pickar had a two-run triple and Wallick plated the final run with an RBI single.
