Rachael Liguori threw a two-hitter without allowing an earned run in a 3-1 win in the opener, while Chestnut Hill won 2-1 (8 inn.) in the nightcap as East Stroudsburg University split a non-conference softball doubleheader on Tuesday.
Liguori took a no-hitter into the sixth inning and finished with two hits allowed, eight strikeouts and three walks to improve to 5-2 on the season for ESU (9-5).
In game two, Chestnut Hill (5-19) scored the winning run using the international tiebreaker (runner placed on second base) in the bottom of the eighth to gain the doubleheader split.

Danielle Dungee was 3-for-3 with two RBI and two runs, including her second home run of the season, in game one.
The Warriors had 14 hits (seven in each game), while Chestnut Hill had just six combined hits in the twinbill.
Senior catcher
Haley Thomas was 3-for-6 after entering as the PSAC leader in batting average (.556), on-base percentage (.564) and slugging percentage (1.000).
ESU opens its PSAC East schedule with two home doubleheaders this weekend, hosting Millersville on Friday and Kutztown on Saturday at Zimbar Field.
GAME 1 - W 3-1Liguori threw her fourth complete game of the season in seven starts and ESU led 3-0 before CHC score its run in the bottom of the sixth.
The Warriors struck quickly in the first inning as sophomore SS
Mary Wallick singled, moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by sophomore OF
Cristina Coppola, stole third and scored on an infield single by Dungee.
Dungee hit a solo homer for a 2-0 lead to start the fourth inning, and had a two-out single and scored on an infield single by Thomas and a throwing error in the sixth.
In the bottom of the sixth, the Griffins got their first hit off Liguori with a leadoff single. The batter reached third on an error and scored on a sacrifice fly, but Liguori struck out the final two batters to retire the side.
CHC managed a two-out single in the bottom of the seventh to get the tying run to the plate before Liguori got a comebacker to end the game.
GAME 2 - L 2-1Chestnut Hill took a 1-0 lead in the fifth and won it in the eighth to avoid the sweep.
ESU scored its run in the top of the sixth as junior
Rae Holden had a one-out double and freshman
Erika Gowe, a pinch-runner, scored on a two-out RBI single by Thomas to tie the game at 1-1.

Allison Mende (3.2 innings, 0 earned runs, 2 hits, 2 strikeouts) pitched the Warriors out of the bottom of the fifth, getting out of a first-and-third, no-out jam. She also stranded a two-out triple on third in the seventh.

Amanda Carlin went 4.0 innings, allowing one run on two hits, with two strikeouts and three walks.
Wallick, Holden and Thomas all had two hits for the Warriors.
