EAST STROUDSBURG - Senior attack Lauren Nunes had two goals and seven assists, setting East Stroudsburg University's single-season record for points, and led the No. 19-ranked Warriors to a school record-setting 12th win with an 18-5 victory vs. Kutztown in PSAC lacrosse on Wednesday afternoon at Whitenight Field.

ESU (12-3, 7-3) broke the school record of 11 wins held by three teams - 2000 (11-5), 2008 (11-7) and 2010 (11-7).

Nunes finished the afternoon with 91 points this season (33 goals, 58 assists), breaking the single-season record of 87 points held by Kristin Restivo (2000). She extended her ESU career records for points (247) and assists (111), and also holds ESU's single-season assists record.

Senior attack Kaitlynn Wiltraut had four goals and two assists, moving into ESU's career top 10 in points (160).

Freshman midfielder Taylor Jefferis had five goals and one assist, junior midfielder Emily Fitzsimmons had two goals and one assist, sophomore midfielder Chessie Rahmer scored two goals and senior midfielder Whitney Wilkinson added two assists for ESU.

Other scorers were redshirt junior midfielder Jamie Zimmer (1 goal, 1 assist), freshman attack Brooke Fritz (1 goal, 1 assist), junior attack Lauren Green (1 goal) and freshman attack Julia LoBasso, who had her first career assist.

Redshirt junior goalkeeper Jessica Maxwell had 13 saves after entering in the top two in the PSAC in goals against average and saves per game.

Sarah Gabriele had all five goals for Kutztown (6-8, 2-7).

ESU led 14-2 at halftime, scoring the game's first seven goals within 10 minutes.

Nunes, the NCAA Division II leader in assists per game (3.64) and third in points per game (5.86), had two goals and five assists in the first half. She entered with 82 points this season, five from Restivo's season record.

Kutztown held a 14-10 advantage in draw controls, with senior defender Caitlyn O'Connell grabbing eight of the Warriors' 10. ESU held a 24-21 edge in shots with Maxwell posting her third-highest save total of the season.

ESU is idle this weekend and hosts No. 7 West Chester next Wednesday in its final regular season home game at 4 p.m.

GAME NOTES
* ESU held its Alyssa Oxenford Memorial Game to remember Oxenford, a 3-year starter at defender (2012-14) who was diagnosed with leukemia following the 2014 season and passed away on August 22, 2015.

* Nunes ranks t-8th in PSAC history in single-season assists (58). The conference record (83) was set by Chelsea Borrino (Lock Haven) in 2014.
