Rachael Liguori threw a six-hit shutout with seven strikeouts in a 2-0 win in the opener, and sophomore second baseman
Heather Visco powered East Stroudsburg University to a 13-5 win in the nightcap and a non-conference softball doubleheader sweep at Philadelphia University on Tuesday.
Liguori threw her first shutout of the season and the sixth of her career for ESU (18-18).
Visco was 3-for-5 with a double, three RBI and four runs and senior 1B
Danielle Dungee was 1-for-2 with a double, two walks, three RBI and two runs in the Warriors' win in the second game.
The Warriors host Bloomsburg (35-4) in a non-conference doubleheader and their final home action of the season on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Zimbar Field. The Warriors finish the season at Shippensburg on Saturday.
GAME 1 - W 2-0
Liguori scattered six hits and got run support in the fourth and fifth innings as the Warriors captured the opener.
Dungee singled to start the fourth for the Warriors, with pinch-runner
Kellianne Gaffney stealing second, moving to third on a flyout by senior catcher
Haley Thomas and scoring the game's first run when sophomore OF
Madison Oren reached on an error by the shortstop.
ESU doubled its lead in the fifth on a one-out RBI triple by Visco, plating pinch-runner

Samantha Pickar walked to open the inning.
Liguori pitched around a pair of one-out singles in the seventh, getting a flyout to right and a strikeout to end the game.
GAME 2 - W 13-5
ESU scored multiple runs in four of its seven innings, capped by a seven-run seventh after Philadelphia U (11-29-1) closed within 6-4 in the sixth.
The Warriors' offense started early in the first. Visco reached on an error, stole second and third, senior OF
Sierra Wagner reached on a fielders choice and Dungee hit a two-RBI double for a 2-0 lead.
ESU made it 4-0 in the third as sophomore SS
Mary Wallick tripled and scored on a bunt single by Visco, Wagner singled, Visco moved to third on a throwing error and scored on Dungee's sacrifice fly.
The Warriors added two more in the top of the fifth for a 6-0 lead on a two-out, two-RBI double by Thomas after Visco doubled and Dungee walked.
The Rams got back in it with one in the fifth and three in the sixth, but ESU responded in the top of the seventh - scoring seven runs on three hits, three walks, a hit batter and two errors. Junior

Katherine Liedberg had a two-RBI single, Oren had an RBI infield single and Visco had a two-RBI single later in the frame.

Amanda Carlin threw the first 2.0 innings for ESU, blanking Philadelphia U on two hits with two walks and a strikeout. Senior
Allison Mende was the winner in relief (5.0 IP, 5 runs, 10 hits).
