EAST STROUDSBURG - Junior Rae Holden hit a walk-off home run to give East Stroudsburg University a 2-1 win in the nightcap and a doubleheader split vs. Bloomsburg, ending the Huskies' 22-game winning streak, in non-conference softball on Wednesday at Zimbar Field.

Seniors Amanda Carlin (4.0 IP, 1 run, 6 hits) and Allison Mende (3.0 IP, 0 runs, 4 hits) combined to scatter 10 hits and strand 10 Bloomsburg baserunners in the nightcap, and the Warriors (19-19) scored in the first and seventh innings.

Bloomsburg (36-5) won the opener, 3-1, behind a one-hitter from Taylor Parker.

Holden's walk-off homer was ESU's fifth in the last 15 seasons and first since March 6, 2011, when Alex Schubert hit a walk-off grand slam in an 8-6 win vs. Southern New Hampshire in Florida.

The Warriors finish the 2016 season with a PSAC East doubleheader at Shippensburg on Saturday.

GAME 1 - L 3-1

Junior Rachael Liguori fired a complete game, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits, but Parker limited ESU to one run on one hit and struck out nine to improve to 11-1 on the season for Bloomsburg.

BU took a 1-0 lead with an unearned run in the second inning, which ESU answered in the bottom of the fourth as sophomore SS Mary Wallick doubled for ESU's only hit off Parker, moved to third on a wild pitch and scored on a sacrifice bunt by senior OF Sierra Wagner.

Bloomsburg regained its edge with two runs on three hits in the fifth, including an RBI triple by Parker.

Liguori retired the Huskies in order in the third, fourth, sixth and seventh innings, throwing her 11th complete game of the season and the 32nd of her career.

GAME 2 - W 2-1

Holden's blast to left field with one out in the bottom of the seventh handed Bloomsburg its first loss since March 31, a 2-0 setback to Millersville in the first game of a doubleheader.

ESU jumped on the board in the first as Wallick had an infield single, advanced on a wild pitch and scored on an RBI single by Wagner for a 1-0 lead.

BU left runners on base in the first, second and third innings and tied it in the fifth on a sacrifice fly by Taylor Winkelman before Mende, who entered after a leadoff single, left runners on first and second to end the threat.

The Huskies put runners on second and third in the sixth before Mende got a groundout, and had runners on first and third with one out in the seventh before Mende got out of the inning with a flyout and a comebacker.

ESU threatened in the bottom of the sixth, getting runners on first and second with one out, but Sarah Bortner (6.1 IP, 2 runs, 5 hits, 5 strikeouts, 1 walk) stranded both runners.

Holden's home run was her fifth of the season and ESU's 28th of the year. Other recent walk-off home runs have been hit by Shannon Dietrich (2004 vs. Kutztown), Melissa Meyers (2008 vs. Bloomsburg) and Brittany Racek (2009 vs. Shippensburg), along with Schubert's grand slam in 2011.

Wallick (2-for-6, double, 2 runs) was the only ESU player with multiple hits in the twinbill.
