BRADENTON, Fla. - East Stroudsburg University graduate student Travis Toth set the PSAC record in the hammer and finished fifth at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships with a mark of 206-11, finishing his career with his third All-America honor, on Thursday at the IMG Academy.

Toth (Newfoundland, Pa./Western Wayne) had his record-setting mark on his third and final throw of the prelims, surpassing the PSAC record (205-3) set by Lock Haven's Mark Manno in 2012, and the ESU record (203-2) set by Paul Wagner in 2010.

Toth is one of seven three-time All-Americans for ESU's men's track and field program, all tied for the most in program history.

He entered his fifth trip to the NCAA's ranked ninth on the national list with a mark of 202-5, which he hit to win the PSAC championship on May 13 at Mansfield. His four-spot improvement from his initial seeding was the best in the field of 19 athletes.

He opened with marks of 190-8 and 198-3 on his first two efforts before hitting the PSAC record. In the finals, he had marks of 204-5 (second-best of his career), 194-0 and 199-9.

Toth was fifth through the prelims, with the top five spots remaining the same through the finals.

He joins sprinter Negus Graham (2010-11), long jumper Rob Stone (1994, 96, 98), steeplechaser Jim Lauck (1987-89), shot putter Paul Ferency (1976, 78-79), steeplechaser Pete Heesen (1975-77) and triple jumper Lenny Jenkins (1972-74) as the only three-time All-Americans in men's track and field at ESU.

Toth previously earned All-America honors in the hammer in 2014 (8th - 193-4) and was second team All-America in the weight throw indoors in 2016 (10th - 61-9 3/4). He also made NCAA appearances in the hammer in 2013 and weight throw in 2014.

Toth won his third and fourth PSAC championships this year, claiming the weight throw and hammer titles in both 2014 and 2016 in between a redshirt year in 2015.

Shippensburg's Caleb Bartlett earned second team All-America status, placing 10th (192-1), to give the PSAC two participants on the All-America podium.
