Alec Lederer won the men's race and senior
Allison Decker was second in the women's race, leading East Stroudsburg University at the season-opening Fordham Invitational to begin the 2016 cross country season.

Lederer posted a winning time of 25:51.50 in the men's 5-mile run, with junior

J.P. Montgomery sixth (27:13.86), sophomore
Jared Glosser 11th (27:39.67) and junior
Dan Buccino 12th (27:41.13).
Decker, a returning NCAA Division II national qualifier, ran second (19:31.42) behind LIU Post junior Talya Williams (18:53.00).
West was third in 19:50.29, Young fourth in 20:22.34, Toth fifth in 21:20.76 and freshman
Alexandra Palumbo ninth in 22:03.71.
ESU's women won the DII/DIII field at Fordham for the fourth straight year. The Warriors were the PSAC runner-up in 2015, their best-ever conference finish.
Lederer is the Warriors' fourth men's individual champion at Fordham in the last five years, following Frank Fezza (2012), Chris Schneider (2013) and
Steve Ruch (2015).
The Warriors will compete at the Kutztown DII/DIII Challenge next Saturday.
