SANATOGA, Pa. - Junior Samantha Miller finished tied for second to lead East Stroudsburg University at the Ursinus Fall Invitational at Raven's Claw Golf Club on Tuesday.

Miller carded an 82 on the par-71, 5,995-yard course to finish two shots off the medalist, Emily Gilbert (Alvernia).

Miller was one of three golfers to tie for second, along with Danielle Freed and Danielle Greene, both of Millersville.

She opened the season with a fifth-place finish (of 58) at Le Moyne with two career-low rounds of 77 and 76.

Host Ursinus won the team title at 356, two shots ahead of Millersville (358). ESU was third (369), followed by Marywood (376), Alvernia (381), Albright (388), Susquehanna (426) and Arcadia (479).

Sophomore Caterina Daniels was 12th with a round of 90, freshman Amy Bergquist was t-21st (98), freshman Gabbi Budd was 25th (99), junior Mackenzie Mathna 31st (105) and freshman Brianna Carty t-43rd (126).

The Warriors are back in action on Sunday and Monday at the Kutztown Fall Invitational at Moselem Springs Golf Club.
