EAST STROUDSBURG – Junior
Colleen Dwyer broke her own school record in the 50-yard backstroke, junior
Kate Zimmerman won a team-high three events, and East Stroudsburg University topped Millersville in 12 of 14 events overall to earn a convincing 171-91 victory at Koehler Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon.
Dwyer completed the first leg of the 200 medley relay in 27.89, breaking her old school record time of 28.03 set in 2015. Freshman

Allison Cardow added multiple event wins for the Warriors (5-1).
The 200 medley relay was the first event in ESU's 2016-17 home opener, with Lukshides,
Kate Zimmerman, Cardow and junior
Annie Fagan touching in first at 1:52.76. Dwyer's foursome which included junior
Shirley Samson, freshman
Dani Zimmerman and senior
Kelly Buyaskas took second place in 1:55.02.
Killane led the way in the first individual event, defeating Millersville's Jessica Berry by over 22 seconds with a time of 11:17.97 in the 1000 freestyle. Killane would later add a convincing 21 second win in the 500 free, completing the race in 5:32.84.
Lukshides came out on top in the 200 free (2:01.29) and 100 free (55.18), edging out Fagan by 0.30 in the 100.
That was one of four individual events which saw ESU finish 1-2. The Warriors took each of the first three positions in the 100 breaststroke, with
Kate Zimmerman (1:09.60) followed by Buyaskas (1:13.18) and
Shirley Samson (1:13.33).
Zimmerman also bested the field in the 200 breast (2:32.63), six seconds ahead of Samson (2:38.71) in second place, and the 200 individual medley (2:18.06).
Cardow (2:15.82) and senior
Kaitlyn Casciole (2:27.53) grabbed the top two spots in the 200 butterfly, with Cardow adding another win later on in the 100 fly with a time of 1:00.90.
Fagan added the last of ESU's 10 individual victories in the 50 free, with her mark of 25.05 besting Millersville's Mallory Dyson (26.06) by over a second. The Warriors closed out the afternoon with Lukshides, senior
Victoria Gurdak, Buyaskas and Fagan taking first place in the 200 free relay (1:43.22).
Saturday's team win avenged a 118-86 triumph for the Marauders (2-2) when the two teams met at Millersville on Jan. 16 last season.
ESU will remain at Koehler Fieldhouse for another PSAC dual next Saturday, as the Warriors take on Bloomsburg in a meet scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
