EAST STROUDSBURG - Freshman midfielder Haley Skove, sophomore forward Monica Wood and junior forward Alex Pickett scored as East Stroudsburg University improved to 9-2-2 (9-2-1) with a 3-0 win over Pitt-Johnstown in PSAC women's soccer on Friday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

Senior goalkeeper Jules Harris had six saves for ESU, which remains unbeaten in its last seven games (6-0-1), including a 1-1 (2OT) tie at No. 22-ranked Gannon in its last action last Sunday.

ESU's senior class - Harris (74 career starts), midfielder Sammi Ortiz (81 starts), first-year starting forward Molly Vicari and midfielder Nikki Weiss - became the winningest four-year class in school history with its 59th victory, improving to 59-15-7 including the last three PSAC championships and the 2015 NCAA Division II Atlantic Region title.

ESU's previous four-year class (2013-16) had a record of 58-20-7.

Pickett's goal was her third of the season and the 21st of her career, moving her into ESU's career top 10 in points (52) and tied for eighth in career goals. Pickett led the Atlantic Region in goals (14) and points (33) as a sophomore and has 21 career goals and 10 assists.

Skove and Wood both had their fifth goals of the season, one off the team lead. Skove scored both goals in last week's 2-0 win vs. Lock Haven, and Wood has scored in two straight and five of the last nine games.

The Warriors pushed their season goal margin to 32-6 and notched their seventh shutout of the year.

Skove opened the scoring in the 31st minute with a header on the seventh assist of the season by sophomore back Hannah Saggese.

It remained 1-0 until the 64th minute, when Wood directed in a cross from sophomore forward Amy Strauser, who made her first career start.

Pickett scored in the 70th minute on an assist from sophomore midfielder Nicole Abbott.

Harris, the 2016 PSAC Defensive Athlete of the Year, made six saves and lowered her season goals against average to 0.45.

She recorded her 35th career shutout (29th solo), improving to 54-14-6 in her 74 career starts. She is just over 100 minutes from setting ESU's career record for goalkeeper minutes played, and continues to extend her shutout and solo shutout marks.

Ortiz tied ESU's career record for games started (81 - every game of her career), matching the total of former teammate and two-time All-America midfielder Shea Neal (2013-16).

ESU held advantages of 20-9 in shots and 11-0 in corner kicks.

Leigh Appolonia played the first 81 minutes in goal and made six saves for UPJ (1-12-1, 1-10-1), which had its first-ever PSAC win in this year's season opener.

ESU improves to 5-0 with a 22-0 goal margin in five meetings vs. Pitt-Johnstown.

The Warriors travel to Bloomsburg (7-4-2, 6-4-2) for a 3:30 p.m. start on Sunday. The Huskies have dropped two straight, at Slippery Rock (1-0) and at Seton Hill (4-1), but also have a scoreless tie at Gannon on their resume this fall.
