EAST STROUDSBURG - Junior forward
Alex Pickett had two goals and an assist, leading East Stroudsburg University to a 4-2 win over Edinboro in PSAC women's soccer on Saturday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
Pickett had a hand in the first three goals for ESU (11-3-2, 11-3-1), the three-time defending PSAC champions, who improved to 8-1-1 in their last 10 games entering the final week of the regular season. The Warriors knocked off No. 4-ranked Kutztown, 1-0, on Wednesday.

Molly Vicari also scored and sophomore forward
Monica Wood added two assists for ESU, which led for the final 85 minutes but saw Edinboro (5-7-3, 4-7-3) twice cut into the lead.
Pickett opened the scoring, assisted by Wood, 4:22 into the game, and set up Vicari in the 34th minute for a 2-0 lead.
Edinboro's Ashley Mutkus sliced the ESU lead to 2-1 just two minutes later with her 12th goal of the season.
Pickett pushed the lead to 3-1, assisted by Cary, in the 54th minute, and the two-goal margin held until the 78th minute when Rebecca Manns pulled the Fighting Scots back within 3-2.
The Warriors got their final goal with just 48 seconds left, scoring on the counter with Cary assisted by Wood.
Senior goalkeeper
Jules Harris had seven saves for ESU. Sarah Baskey had a pair of saves for Edinboro, which held a 19-13 advantage in shots and 9-7 edge in shots on goal.
Pickett, the Atlantic Region leader with 14 goals and 33 points as a sophomore, bumped her 2017 totals to five goals and four assists with her seventh career multi-goal game. She moves into a tie for seventh on ESU's career goals list (23) with Sammi Jo Hughes, who was a senior when Pickett was a freshman on the 2015 Atlantic Region championship team. She also moved into ninth at ESU in career points (57).
Cary had her fourth goal and second assist of the season, Wood's two assists give her five goals and four assists on the season and Vicari had her fourth goal of the season and the eighth of her career.
ESU improves to 4-2 vs. Edinboro since the start of the 2014 season, including a pair of postseason wins in 2015 - 2-1 (OT) in the PSAC championship game and 2-0 in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional final.
ESU has one PSAC game remaining, next Saturday at Clarion, following a non-conference home game vs. Molloy on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
The Warriors have already secured their eighth PSAC Tournament appearance in 11 seasons under head coach
Rob Berkowitz, and are in contention for a top-four seed and a home game in the PSAC quarterfinals on Tuesday, Oct. 31.
