HERSHEY - Senior Samantha Miller placed tied for 13th in a field of 44 with a 36-hole total of 162 to lead East Stroudsburg University at the 2017 PSAC Women's Golf Championships, contested Saturday and Sunday at Hershey Country Club East.

ESU finished seventh of eight schools. Kutztown won the team title by two strokes over West Chester (638-640), followed by Mercyhurst (652), Millersville (653), Gannon (654), Seton Hill (704), ESU (711) and Clarion (773).

Miller's finish is ESU's third-best in the program's 10 seasons. Karen Cash was tied for third as a freshman in her only season in 2009-10, and Miller was tied for ninth as a junior last year.

She had rounds of 80 and 82 on the par-71 course for a +20. She was tied for fifth through the opening round, five shots off the lead.

ESU's team score of 711 betters its previous PSAC low (714) set last year.

California's Holly Ho was the individual champion by six strokes, carding 148 (76-72). Kutztown's Shannon Weber was second (154) with four golfers third at 155.
