EAST STROUDSBURG – Freshmen
Amanda Jackson and
Quinn McCluskey continued their strong start to the season in doubles, earning a 9-7 victory at the No. 3 position in East Stroudsburg University's 8-1 setback to Seton Hill on Sunday afternoon.
Jackson and McCluskey are now 4-1 on the year as a doubles tandem after besting the Griffins' Ana Salazar and Kaitlyn Walch in ESU's 2017-18 home opener. They have won three matches in a row overall.
Seton Hill (4-1) claimed the other two doubles matchups by 8-3 finals, and the visitors took each of the six singles matches in straight sets. Senior
Elizabeth Bartoli had the most-competitive singles match, as she fell 6-3, 6-2 to Salazar at the No. 5 spot.
The Warriors (0-3) have won more match next week to wrap up the fall portion of their schedule, as they will host St. Thomas Aquinas at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17.
