PHILADELPHIA – Sophomore guard
Tiffany Lapotsky scored a team-high 16 points on 6 of 10 shooting from the floor, as East Stroudsburg University fell 109-42 in an exhibition contest at Division I Villanova on Wednesday evening.
The Warriors trailed by just five at 23-18 with under a minute left in the first quarter, but the Wildcats scored the final five points of the frame and gradually increased their advantage for the remainder of the contest. Senior guard
Imani Brown added 15 points and six rebounds for ESU.
Lapotsky, who earned the start at point guard, has a career high of 14 points in non-exhibition games. She hit 4 of 5 attempts from 3-point range, and she also grabbed five rebounds and dished out a pair of assists.
Adrianna Hahn had 21 points to lead six players in double figures for Villanova, which went 20-15 and advanced to the semifinals of the WNIT a year ago. The Wildcats were 50 percent (18-36) from long distance, and they shot 56.8 percent (42-74) from the field overall. The home side also had a 48-23 advantage on the glass.

Sadie Cresswell chipped in seven points off the bench for the Warriors.
ESU, which went 19-9 last season and advanced to the PSAC Final Four, opens up the 2017-18 regular season at New Haven next Friday. Opening tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
