EAST STROUDSBURG - Sophomore Mike Raccioppi won the 165-pound title at the 51st Annual ESU Open on Sunday at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Raccioppi went 4-0, opening with a major decision and technical fall, before posting decisions over a pair of wrestlers from Army Prep in the semifinals and final.

He notched a major decision (16-7) over Idris White of Maryland and a technical fall (20-3 - 6:36) over Connor Rogovich of Kutztown to reach the semifinals.

Raccioppi knocked off Army Prep's Owen Brown, 15-8, and Brad Laughlin, 6-2, for the title.

He posted a 10-3 record at 149 pounds in his first season of competition at ESU in 2015-16, placing sixth in the PSAC Championships after reaching the semifinals. Seven of his 10 wins were by bonus points.
