DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. - West Chester scored a pair of second-half goals in the 48th and 65th minutes, posting a 2-0 win over East Stroudsburg University in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional women's soccer final on Friday afternoon at Mercy College.

Nikki Zaso scored 2:30 into the second half and Linzi Wolfe headed in a cross by Julia Kirkpatrick to double the lead for the Golden Rams (17-3-2), who won their seventh regional title since 2005 and first since 2014.

ESU (15-4-4), which won 1-0 at West Chester for its PSAC record-setting fourth straight championship on November 4, was in the regional final for the second time in three seasons after winning its first-ever regional title in 2015.

Senior goalkeeper Jules Harris made four saves in her 84th and final start for ESU, completing a career in which she tied the PSAC record for solo shutouts (35), extended ESU's record for total shutouts (41) and had a 0.69 goals against average while earning two first-team All-PSAC and four All-Region honors. She had a 60-16-8 career record in goal, and had ESU single-season records with 13 shutouts and 11 solo shutouts as a senior.

Senior midfielder Sammi Ortiz made her 91st career start, every game in her career, the second-most in PSAC history. She was named first team All-PSAC for the second straight season, is a three-time All-Region selection and is the only player in PSAC history to start in four straight PSAC trophy-raising championship games.

McKenna Mullin had four saves for West Chester, which advances to play the winner of the East Region final between Mercy and LIU Post.

The Warriors have compiled a 65-17-9 record since the start of the 2014 season, when they went 20-1-1 with 20 straight wins and won their first-ever PSAC regular season title.

ESU had advanced in 17 of its 20 postseason games (14-2-4) in the last four years entering Friday, going 10-0-2 in PSAC Tournament games and 4-2-2 in the NCAA Tournament.

ESU has faced West Chester nine times in the last three years, including six times in the postseason. The Warriors advanced all three times in the PSAC Tournament, on penalty kicks in the quarterfinals in 2015 and the semifinals in 2016, along with the 2017 PSAC title. West Chester has won the last two NCAA Tournament contests, 2-1 last year on its home field in the second round and 2-0 on Friday. ESU won 2-1 (2OT) in the first round on its way to the 2015 regional title.

The Warriors made their fifth NCAA Tournament appearance under head coach Rob Berkowitz and their sixth all-time (1997, 2008, 2014-17). ESU and West Chester are two of 10 DII schools to qualify for the NCAA Tournament in each of the last four years.
