NEWBERRY, S.C. - Redshirt junior Dylan Nace won both of his bouts in his season debut and redshirt sophomore Mike Raccioppi was also 2-0 to lead East Stroudsburg University at the Newberry Duals on Sunday.

ESU fell to Limestone (35-12) and Newberry (37-9), both of Super Region 2, in its first two duals before posting a 32-15 win over Emmanuel, the two-time defending NWCA (National College Wrestling Association) champion.

Nace, ranked No. 8 in NCAA Division II and a returning national qualifier, won by 3-2 decision over Matthew Rose (Limestone) and 8-5 decision over Dylan Carlile (Emmanuel) to open his season.

He improved to 57-16 in his career and 32-2 in duals, including a 29-7 overall record and 17-2 dual mark last season.

Raccioppi, ranked No. 9 in DII at 165 pounds and No. 1 in Super Region 1, moved to 7-1 on the season with a pair of wins - by disqualification over Ritchie Guilliaume (Limestone) and a second-period fall of Joey Rocca (Newberry).

Freshman Victor Lopez, listed No. 4 in the region at 125 pounds, was 2-1. He won by 6-4 decision vs. James Sass (Limestone), suffered a 9-0 major decision against No. 8-ranked Jordan Simpson (Newberry) and had a first-period fall vs. Billy Gordy (Emmanuel).

Freshman Hunter Marhan was also 2-1 on the day at 285 pounds, winning 3-2 vs. Josh Martin (Newberry) and by first-period fall over Dylan Purcell (Emmanuel).

Seven Warriors won against Emmanuel - Lopez by fall at 125, Nace by decision at 141, redshirt junior Blake Cohen by decision at 149, freshman Marquan Payne by technical fall at 157, senior Paul Rallis by major decision at 184, Makagon by technical fall at 197 and Marhan by fall at 285.

ESU's next action will be at the PSAC Championships at Edinboro on Saturday.
