MELBOURNE, Fla. – Facing its second nationally-ranked opponent in three games, East Stroudsburg University fell 14-0 in five innings to No. 4 Armstrong State at Florida Tech's Brawl at the Beach on Saturday afternoon.
The Pirates (6-2), who were NCAA Division II Southeast Super Regional champions last spring and have reached the NCAA tournament in 14 of 16 seasons, did most of their damage in a nine-run third inning. Catcher Katie Collins went 3 for 3 with three RBIs and a run scored from the No. 8 spot in the batting order.

Lily Moresco tossed a scoreless inning in the circle for the Warriors (1-3). Fellow freshman
Kaylee Hazewski was the lone ESU player to reach base when she was hit by a pitch in the first inning.
RHP Sierra Peebles struck out three in five hitless innings for Armstrong.
The Warriors conclude their season-opening tournament on Sunday morning, taking on Stonehill in a contest scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. at Florida Tech. ESU topped the Skyhawks by a 5-2 final when the two teams met on Saturday morning.
