EASTON, Pa. – Sophomore Aspen Gaita broke her fifth school record of the year, and her first of the outdoor season, in the 100-meter hurdles to earn one of 11 first-place performances for East Stroudsburg University at Lafayette's 7-Way Meet on Saturday afternoon.

Gaita completed the race in 14.46, beating out her closest competitor by nearly a second and finishing 0.01 under the previous ESU mark of 14.47 set by Lauren Ventrella in 2013. The time is just above the NCAA DII provisional standard of 14.30. Gaita previously broke program records in the 55m hurdles, 60m hurdles, long jump (tied for first) and pentathlon during the indoor portion of the schedule.

Earlier in the afternoon, Gaita anchored the Warriors' 4x100m relay squad which registered the fourth-fastest time in program history. Sophomore Marissa Flim, freshman Tiana Webster, sophomore Leiana Dean and Gaita clocked in at 47.87, over a second ahead of Lehigh (49.04) in second place. Freshman Noah Lockwood also entered the record books in the discus. He is now ranked No. 8 all-time after placing second out of 17 with a top throw of 147-1.

ESU ended the day with a total of 16 new PSAC-qualifying times, seven of which came from first-place efforts. The first of those came in the meet's opening race, as freshman Rachel Eidson finished the 3000m steeplechase in 12:20.49.

Junior Kaylyn West led a group of three Warrior top-10 finishers in the 800m, as she took first out of 27 runners with a time of 2:16.98. That mark is 0.64 off her PR of 2:16.34 which ranks fourth all-time at ESU. Senior Erin Brady followed in fourth place with a season-best effort of 2:19.88, while senior Lauren Toth placed sixth, booking her spot at PSACs with a time of 2:20.26.

The Warriors swept the sprint events, with Flim leading a group of 19 runners in the 100m (13.00) and Webster taking first out of 23 competitors in the 200m (26.93). Both were just above the PSAC standard in their respective races.
