RISING SUN, Md. - Junior
Samantha Miller finished tied for sixth of 71 finishers for East Stroudsburg University at the Eastern "Battle at the Bay" at Chesapeake Bay Golf Club on Sunday and Monday.
Miller carded a two-day total of 163 on the par-71, 5,824-yard course. She was tied for second after shooting a 79 on Sunday, and posted an 84 on Monday.
ESU placed ninth of 13 schools. Junior

Amy Bergquist placed 53rd (190), sophomore
Caterina Daniels 61st (203) and freshman
Brianna Carty 71st (241).
Gannon won the team title by five shots over Franklin Pierce with Randolph-Macon, Kutztown and Le Moyne rounding out the top five.
Gannon's Manuela Quevedo was the medalist at 158 (16-over par), one shot ahead of a two-way tie for second between Sarah Daley (Franklin Pierce) and Danielle Green (Millersville). Quevedo's 75 on Sunday was the top round of the weekend.
Miller carded her fifth round in the 70's this season and the 12th in program history. Briana Malachowski had two rounds in the 70's in 2009, and Karen Cash had five rounds during the 2009-10 season.
