Cassidy McKenna scored three goals each, leading East Stroudsburg University to a 15-7 win over St. Thomas Aquinas in non-conference women's lacrosse on Wednesday afternoon at Whitenight Field.

Emily Fitzsimmons added two goals for ESU (2-0), which opened its season with a 20-11 win vs. Chestnut Hill last Tuesday.
Alyson Brennan scored three goals to pace St. Thomas Aquinas (1-3), which pulled within 5-4 with 8:00 left in the first half before the Warriors went on a seven-goal run - scoring the last five goals of the first half in the final 7:05, and the first two goals of the second half while keeping the Spartans off the board for almost 22 minutes.
ESU had a 28-11 advantage in shots, a 16-8 margin in draw controls and committed fewer turnovers (24-21). The Warriors converted five of their seven free position shots.

Five Warriors - Fritz, Green, Jefferis, McKenna and Stratten - added assists.
Rufolo and Fitzsimmons both scored in the first three minutes of the game, and it was 2-2 until a three-goal ESU run on goals by McKenna, Fritz and Rahmer made it 5-2 with 12:19 left in the first half.
After two goals by the Spartans, the Warriors rattled off their 5-0 run to end the half and take a 10-4 lead into the locker room. Stratten scored on a free position shot, set up a goal by Jefferis, and McKenna, Rufolo (free position) and Rahmer also scored to extend the lead.
Fitzsimmons and Green scored to open the second half before Brennan broke St. Thomas Aquinas' drought with the second of her three goals with 16:06 left to make it 12-5.
Rahmer, Rufolo and McKenna finished the scoring for ESU.
Rahmer's output gives her seven goals and one assist in the first two games, after scoring four goals in the season opener vs. Chestnut Hill. Fritz had four goals and three assists in the opener and added a goal and an assist on Wednesday.

Hana Cicerelle both had four of ESU's 16 draw controls. Senior defender
Kerry Mulcahy had a team-high five ground balls, and Rahmer, McKenna and Cicerelle all had two caused turnovers.
The Warriors head south for their next two games, with trips to Mount Olive (N.C.) on Sunday and Coker (S.C.) on Tuesday, March 14, before beginning their PSAC schedule against Millersville on Saturday, March 18 at 1 p.m. at Whitenight Field.
