WEST CHESTER - Junior Samantha Miller finished tied for 11th in a field of 61 finishers to lead East Stroudsburg University at the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational, hosted by West Chester University, at Penn Oaks Golf Club on Sunday and Monday.

ESU placed 10th against a field of 12 Division II programs that contested a par-71, 5,809-yard layout.

Miller shot a two-day total of 171, posting an 87 on Sunday and going three shots better (84) on Monday.

Junior Mackenzie Mathna was t-40th (194), sophomore Caterina Daniels was 52nd (202), freshman Amy Bergquist was 57th (211) and freshman Brianna Carty was 61st (242).

Franklin Pierce won the team title by one stroke over Merrimack and had the top two individual finishers, as Camden Morrison and Zoey Yamamoto shot identical 159's over the weekend.

Krystal Knight (Merrimack) shot 161, Lauren Kase (Le Moyne) carded 162 and Danielle Greene (Millersville) posted 164 to finish the top five.

Franklin Pierce (671), Merrimack (672), Gannon (680), West Chester (691), Mercyhurst (703) and Le Moyne (706) comprised the top half of the team leaderboard, followed by Kutztown (722), Millersville (728), LIU Post (737), ESU (778), Seton Hill (800) and St. Rose (819).

The Warriors return to the course on Thursday at the Alvernia Invitational at Ledge Rock Golf Club in Mohnton, Pa.
