EAST STROUDSBURG - Mya Hilliard scored the game's only goal in the 33rd minute, giving IUP a 1-0 win over East Stroudsburg University in PSAC women's soccer on Saturday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

Madeline Smakulski made seven saves for IUP (4-3, 3-3), which had fallen to ESU in three of their last four meetings as the Warriors have won three straight PSAC championships.

Senior goalkeeper Jules Harris made two saves for ESU (3-2-1, 3-2), which had won three straight PSAC games - 1-0 at Mercyhurst, 2-1 (OT) vs. Seton Hill and 6-0 at Mansfield.

ESU had a 13-9 advantage in shots.

The Warriors are idle until next Friday, traveling to California (Pa.) for a 4:30 p.m. start. ESU hosts Millersville on Sunday, Sept. 24 at 2 p.m.
