ERIE - Sophomore midfielder Jules Sicker scored the game's only goal in the 71st minute and senior goalkeeper Jules Harris had four saves for her 25th career solo shutout, giving No. 20-ranked East Stroudsburg University a 1-0 win at Mercyhurst in PSAC women's soccer on Saturday afternoon.

ESU (1-1), which rebounded from a 1-0 loss at No. 9 West Chester in its season opener on Thursday, held margins in shots (11-8) and corner kicks (7-2) and found its first goal of the season from Sicker with just under 20 minutes left.

Harris, a three-time All-Region selection and the 2016 PSAC Defensive Athlete of the Year, recorded her 29th career shutout and 25th while playing all 90 minutes in goal. She improves to 46-13-4 in 63 starts, which includes three straight PSAC championships and NCAA Division II Tournament appearances, highlighted by the 2015 Atlantic Region title.

Vilde Wood had four saves for Mercyhurst, which was playing its season opener.

Sicker's goal was the second of her career after scoring once as a freshman - the second goal in ESU's 5-0 win vs. Slippery Rock in the PSAC quarterfinals on the way to its third straight PSAC championship.

ESU hosts Goldey-Beacom in a non-conference game on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in its home opener at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
