GREENSBURG, Pa. – Viktoria Farian had 13 kills and 18 digs, and Leah Bisigiani added 12 kills with a .367 attack percentage to lead Seton Hill to a 3-0 victory over East Stroudsburg University on Friday night. Set scores were 25-15, 25-19, 25-23.

Senior Desiree Claxton (10 kills, nine digs) and sophomore Sarah Smith (nine kills, 13 digs) led the way for the Warriors (10-4, 1-2 PSAC), who lost for only the second time in their past nine matches. The Griffins (9-3, 2-1 PSAC) hit .242 as a team in the match compared to .162 for the visitors.

Smith came within one kill of registering her third straight double-double. Senior Rosa Veliky chipped in 11 digs, while senior Sarah Fillman fired in a pair of aces. Sophomores Sam Dunphy and Jasmine Williams had three blocks apiece.

ESU trailed by only one point at 14-13 midway through the first set. Seton Hill, though, closed out the frame on an 11-2 run. That momentum carried over into the second set, where the home side never trailed after taking an early 8-4 lead.

The Warriors flipped the script in the next set, as a kill by senior Erica Cunningham capped a stretch in which they won eight of the first 11 points. The Griffins came back to tie the score at 9-9, and the teams were separated by under three points for the remainder of the set.

ESU's final lead came at 21-20. Seton Hill won five of the final seven points to close out the match.

The Warriors had a 5-4 edge in blocks, as they out-blocked their opponent for a 13th time in 14 matches this season.

ESU returns to action on Saturday afternoon with a 1 p.m. road matchup at California.
