BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – East Stroudsburg University sent three players to compete in the PSAC Individual Championships at Bloomsburg this weekend, with a Round of 16 singles appearance by sophomore
Marina Zardet highlighting the trip.
Zardet earned a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Shippensburg's Catherine Miller in the opening round. That set up a matchup with No. 3/4 seed Luise von Agris from IUP later in the afternoon. The Crimson Hawk standout eliminated Zardet in a 6-0, 6-1 decision.

Devin Presby and sophomore
Aubrianna Stetina also competed in singles for the Warriors. Presby fell 7-5, 6-1 to Bloomsburg's Giovanna Bonito, while Stetina was blanked in straight sets by No. 5-8 seeded Kayla Frost from Mercyhurst.
Zardet and Stetina also faced a tough draw in the doubles bracket, as they were bested 8-1 in the opening round by Mercyhurst's Frost and Adrianna Jeffress, the No. 2 seeds in the tournament.
ESU returns to dual competition next Sunday, as the Warriors host Seton Hill at 11 a.m. in their 2017-18 home opener.
