EAST STROUDSBURG - Freshman Peter Nace upset Carmine Ciotti, a returning All-America, with a first-period fall at 141 pounds and was one of three Warriors to win as Gannon topped East Stroudsburg University, 33-13, in PSAC and NCAA Division II Super Region 1 wrestling on Friday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Gannon, ranked No. 2 in this week's regional rankings, sent out three returning national qualifiers, including two All-Americans.

Nace pinned Ciotti with eight seconds left in the first period to upend last year's DII fifth-place finisher at 133 pounds. Ciotti entered No. 5 in the regional rankings.

Freshman Marquan Payne won a 9-2 decision vs. Giovanni Ciotti at 157 pounds on the strength of a six-point second period, moving to 7-5 on the season with his fourth straight win.

Redshirt sophomore Mike Raccioppi, ranked No. 5 in DII and No. 1 in the region at 165, improved to 12-2 on the season and 8-0 vs. DII competition with a 17-7 major decision over Jared Sample. Raccioppi won for the ninth time in 10 matches, and posted his eighth bonus point win in 12 victories this season.

Gannon won all seven of its bouts by bonus points, including a major decision by No. 10 Nick Costa (184) and a pin by No. 7 Nick Budd (285). Costa is a returning national qualifier and Budd was All-America with a sixth-place finish last winter.
