Tiffany Lapotsky added 12 points apiece as hot-shooting East Stroudsburg University cruised past Lock Haven by a 91-60 final on Saturday.
The Warriors (9-3, 7-1 PSAC) shot 57.7% (15-26) from 3-point range and 91.7% (22-24) from the free throw line to match a season-high with their fourth victory in a row. ESU has now won five straight and 10 of its last 11 meetings against the Bald Eagles (2-10, 1-7 PSAC).
Brown, who was held under 10 points in a game for the first time this season on Wednesday against Shippensburg, returned to her scoring form in today's win. She hit 6 of 10 field goal attempts, 5 of 7 shots from 3-point range and all six of her free throw attempts. Brown, who is now only 22 points away from reaching 1,000 for her career, has scored 20+ points in 8 of 12 games on the year.
The Warriors hit more 3-pointers (15) than 2-pointers (12) in a game for the first time since Jan. 19, 2011 against Mansfield. They shot a sizzling 66.7% (8-12) from long distance to open up a 41-23 advantage at halftime. Brown (3) and junior guard
Ann McKnight (2) combined to hit five 3-pointers in the opening 20 minutes for ESU, which also went a perfect 7 for 7 from the free throw line and scored 13 points off 12 Lock Haven turnovers.
ESU continued to expand its lead in the second half, and its 32-point output in the fourth quarter was its most in any quarter this season. The Warriors reached 90 points for the third time this year; they have now accomplished that feat six times in the past three years under head coach
Diane Decker after not having previously done so since the 2007-08 campaign, when Decker coached the team in an interim capacity.
Powell, who went 7 for 7 from the free throw line, reached double figures for the fourth time this season (first time since Dec. 2), while Lapotsky scored 10+ points for a ninth time in ESU's 12 contests.

Abby Schoffstall scored her first points of the season on a 3-pointer in the opening half, and she ended the afternoon with nine points on 3 of 5 shooting from the floor. Freshman guard

Kaitlyn Swint registered three of the Warriors' four blocks. Eleven of the 12 ESU players to appear in Saturday's game scored at least two points in the win.
The Warriors continue to lead West Chester (8-4, 5-3) by two games in the PSAC East standings, as both teams have won four-straight conference games. ESU remains on the road for its next contest, a 5:30 p.m. tilt against Cheyney on Monday. The game, originally scheduled to be played at Cheyney, will now take place at West Chester due to heating conditions at Cheyney's Cope Hall.
