RISING SUN, Md. – Sophomore
Micaela Crines shot two sub-90 rounds and took 12th place individually, as East Stroudsburg University completed play at Ursinus' Revolutionary Classic on Sunday.
The Warriors placed fifth out of nine schools in the team standings with a final score of 724 across the two-day tournament. Crines (172) was 12th out of a total of 44 golfers. She had ESU's low round of the weekend with an 85 on Saturday, and she followed with an 87 this afternoon on the par-72 course.
Senior
Caterina Daniels (92, 89) and freshman
Tatum Henry (92, 89) had identical scores in both rounds and cracked the top 20 in the individual standings. The duo was tied for 19th with a final mark of 181.
Junior
Amy Bergquist provided one of the highlights of the weekend for the Warriors on Sunday, as she was one of only two golfers to record an eagle in the tournament. Bergquist accomplished the feat on the par-5 sixth hole. She was tied for 26th overall with a two-day score of 190 (91, 99).
York (Pa.) topped the team standings with a final score of 667 (+99), while Millersville's Danielle Greene (156) was the number one individual finisher with rounds of 76 and 80.
This was ESU's final event prior to the 2018 PSAC Championships. The three-day conference tournament is scheduled to begin Friday at Hershey Country Club in central Pennsylvania.
