LEBANON, Pa. – Sophomore Casey Ellis placed second for the men and junior Jenna Vledder was third for the women, leading East Stroudsburg University cross country to a pair of team titles at the Lebanon Valley Last Chance Run Fast Invitational on Friday.

ESU had five of the top 10 finishers in the men's race, and five of the top 11 in the women's, in their final competition before the PSAC Championships, which will be contested on Saturday, November 3 at Edinboro.

Ellis ran 26:16.6 on the men's 8K course, his second straight runner-up after finishing second at the Delaware Blue & Gold Invite two weeks ago. He was followed by sophomore Teddy Mostellar (3rd – 26:32.5), junior Jeremy Smith (5th – 26:36.6), freshman Dylan Senatore (6th – 26:38.2) and sophomore Andy Lopez (10th – 26:47.6).

Vledder posted 23:44.7 on the women's 6K course and was the No. 2 collegiate finisher behind Gettysburg's Sarah Reinhart (22:33.1). Former ESU runner Samantha Young, All-PSAC the last two seasons and an All-Region honoree in 2016, was second in 23:00.5

Sophomore Brittany Carratura was fifth (24:17.9), junior Emily Eder sixth (24:22.4), freshman Kaylene Raczka ninth (24:43.7) and freshman Kylie Stangle 11th (24:46.7).

Raczka and Senatore each turned in their first top-five team finishes for the Warriors. There were 95 men and 78 women in the two fields, with eight teams in both competitions.

ESU has three returning All-PSAC athletes from last year entering the PSAC Championships – Ellis was 23rd and Smith was 26th on the men's side, and junior Rachael Davalos was 28th for the women. Davalos did not compete on Friday afternoon at Lebanon Valley.

Ellis and Vledder have paced their teams in all four meets this fall. Davalos was the women's No. 2 runner in the first three meets, and Mostellar has been the men's No. 2 finisher in each of the last three.
