Round Two Tee Times
HERSHEY, Pa. – Freshman
Tatum Henry and junior
Amy Bergquist each recorded collegiate best rounds on Friday, helping East Stroudsburg University to a sixth place ranking in the team standings following Day 1 of the three-day PSAC Championship tournament at Hershey Country Club.
The Warriors carded an overall team score of 345, placing them six ahead of seventh-place California and six back of Millersville in fifth place. ESU has never placed higher than seventh at PSAC's since the formation of the golf program prior to the 2008-09 season.
Henry led the way, as she is tied for 10th out of 44 golfers individually after completing the par-71 course with a score of 81. That is the lowest round by a Warrior golfer this year, one under an 82 by sophomore
Micaela Crines at the ESU Invitational on Sept. 16.
Bergquist followed with an 85, five under her previous season best, to rank tied for 19th. Crines (87, t-22nd) and senior
Caterina Daniels (92, t-32nd) rounded out the Warrior scorers.
West Chester leads the team standings with an overall score of 307 (+23). The Golden Rams' Juliarose Genuardi tops the individual rankings after shooting an even-par 71.
Round two of the tournament gets underway at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Freshman
Shannon Campbell will be the first Warrior to tee off at 10:45 a.m.
