Briana Hall and junior
Olivia Lukshides combined for four event wins, and both reached the PSAC-qualifying standard in the 50-yard freestyle to lead East Stroudsburg University in a tri-meet against Kutztown and Misericordia on Saturday.
The Warriors were bested 138-114 by host Kutztown, while Misericordia topped ESU by a 150-107 final. Junior
Tarah Killane added an event victory in the 1000 free, giving ESU wins in five of the 14 contested events.
Hall bested the field in the 50 free by nearly a half second after touching the wall in 25.53. She also took first place in the 100 fly, completing that race in a time of 1:02.28.
Lukshides' PSAC mark of 25.68 in the 50 free came while leading off the Warriors' 200 free relay to conclude the afternoon. She teamed with sophomore
Taylor Howery, freshman
Emma Billings and Hall for a second place mark of 1:44.72. Individually, Lukshides had first place showings in the 100 free (55.71) and 200 free (2:02.28).
Killane's victory was in the first individual event of the afternoon, as she completed the 1000 free in 11:26.69, beating out second place Lindsay Brenneman from Kutztown by nearly nine seconds.
Freshman
Sarah Luigard placed in the top three in all three of her races, taking second in the 200 butterfly (2:25.22), third in the 200 breaststroke (2:38.65) and third in the 200 individual medley (2:23.72). Howery added a standout showing in the 100 backstroke, as her third-place time of 1:03.34 was almost a second quicker than any previous mark in a dual competition.
The Warriors return to the pool next Saturday, traveling to LIU Post for a dual scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
