LOCK HAVEN – Marah Foltz scored a pair of second-half goals, leading Lock Haven to a 2-1 win over visiting East Stroudsburg University in PSAC women's soccer on Wednesday afternoon.

Sophomore Haley Skove scored the opening goal in the 16th minute for ESU (7-3-1, 7-2-1), but Foltz answered with goals in the 64th and 85th minutes to end the Warriors' six-game winning streak.

Skove's goal, her fourth of the season and the 10th of her career, was on a header off a corner kick by junior Jessica Woodbyrne, and the lead held up for nearly 50 minutes. Woodbyrne picked up her third assist of the year and her eighth in two years with the program.

Foltz's first goal was ESU's first conceded in more than 500 minutes (504:13), the Warriors' second-longest streak in the last 15 years behind a stretch of 543:34 during the 2016 season.

ESU lost for the first time since a 3-2 (OT) setback at Seton Hill on September 8, and allowed a goal for the first time since early in a 6-1 win at IUP on September 15. The Warriors posted four straight shutouts.

ESU's losses to Seton Hill and Lock Haven are its first two when leading at halftime under 12th-year head coach Rob Berkowitz, who has led the Warriors to four straight PSAC Championships. ESU had been 81-0-4 when leading at half entering the season, and were 56-1-2 when scoring the game's first goal in the last four years before falling to 6-2 in that circumstance this fall.

Freshman goalkeeper Mauri Jackson, who made nine saves, suffered her first loss in seven starts, entering with a 0.16 goals against average and five shutouts.

Bree Hilty had five saves for LHU (6-2-1, 6-2-1), which is 4-0-1 after a 2-2 start. ESU had won four straight in the series.

The Bald Eagles doubled ESU in shots (18-9) and corner kicks (6-3), including an 11-4 edge in shots in the second half.

ESU returns to action on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. vs. Gannon in the middle game of a Homecoming tripleheader at Eiler-Martin Stadium. Men's soccer hosts Gannon at 11 a.m., and football welcomes Kutztown at 6 p.m.

Gannon was 4-4-1 (3-4-1) entering a contest at Seton Hill later Wednesday afternoon.
