READING, Pa. – Freshman
Tatum Henry carded a season-best 84 on Tuesday, leading the effort for East Stroudsburg University at Alvernia's Fall Invitational.
The Warriors placed sixth overall out of seven schools in the team standings. Henry's score was the second-best by an ESU golfer on the year, behind only an 82 by sophomore
Micaela Crines at the ESU Invitational on Sept. 16.
Crines (93), senior
Caterina Daniels (93) and junior
Amy Bergquist (94) finished within a stroke of each other to round out the Warrior scorers.
Henry's round was tied for eighth out of 40 golfers in the individual standings. Her previous top score this fall was an 86 in the season opener at Gannon on Sept. 9.
ESU's final team score of 364 (+76) was one back of one back of Jefferson and four behind Alvernia in the team standings.
West Chester's Meghan O'Mara was the top individual finisher with a score of 75 (+3) on the par-72 course. The Golden Rams topped the team standings as well with a collective effort of 327, beating out second-place Kutztown by 13 strokes.
The Warriors have one more tune-up tournament prior to the PSAC Championships in Hershey, Pa., from Oct. 19-21, as they travel to Rising Sun, Md., for the Ursinus Revolutionary Classic on Saturday and Sunday this weekend.
