LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Six East Stroudsburg University cross country runners braved the elements on Saturday afternoon, battling a wind chill in the upper teens and a muddy course throughout at Lock Haven's ninth-annual Go Fast River Run meet.
Sophomore
Mandy Fine placed fourth out of 18 runners in the women's race, as she completed the 6k course in a time of 25:14.80. Freshmen
Josh D'Agostino and
Ben Reisenweaver added top 10 finishes in the men's 8k event, with D'Agostino (29:03.40) taking eighth out of 24 runners while Reisenweaver (29:14.20) was one spot back in ninth place.
Sophomore
Gavin DeYoung (13th, 29:42.60) and freshman
Luke Valdevit (15th, 29:52.10) were the other men's participants for ESU. Freshman
Emily Soldridge joined Fine in the women's race, finishing in 17th with a time of 31:05.20.
Many Warriors received the weekend off in preparation for next Saturday's NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional competition. The meet, hosted by Slippery Rock at Schenley Park in Pittsburgh, will begin with the men's 10k race at 10:30 a.m. and conclude with the women's 6k race at 11:45 a.m.
